Zencart Installation

Before we begin.
1. Make sure you have "PHP" Enabled in your Control Panel.
This can be confirmed by checking an icon called Web Site Settings under your domain name.
2. Go to the URL "http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=83781" and download the Zen-cart version required.
3. Upload this file to your wwwroot using your FTP Details.
4. Call Webafrica Web Hosting Support on 0860 009 500, email us at support@webafrica.co.za or send us a Support Ticket to extract the file
uploaded.

Note: When contacting us inform the agent to remove all .htaccess files as they are meant for Linux Distros. only. Also request they copy a php.ini file into your wwwroot folder.

If this has been checked then we may begin installing Zen-cart 1.3.8a


Step 1
Open your browser using Internet Explorer or Firefox.
On the url address, enter add http://yourdomainname...
Click Continue


Step 2
Then the License checks "I have read and agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions as stated above." And click Continue


Step 3
Then the Prerequisites states what dll are enabled in the php.ini file. You don’t need to worry about that. Click Install.


Step 4
Database setup is an important step; you will need
to enter your database information as displayed above (Note this is just a template and your details and host name might be different)
Once done click Save database settings


Step 5
System setup there in no need to change this settings. Click on Save system settings.


Step 6
phpBB setup this option allow you to enable phpBB forums


Step 7
Store setup allows you to enter your website information.


Step 8
Finally, the last step before you finish lets you set the
administrator username for the site, administrator password and administrator email
(careful if you don't use your own but accept the provided one: write it down, it can't be recovered!)
Click Save Admin settings


Step 9
This option allows you do the following:
1) Click here to go to the Store.


Step 10
Remove the zc_install folder in wwwroot
And set configure.php to read-only
Or
2) Click here to open admin area



Step 11
Here you can login as administrator to manage you site
