What is Download Plus?

Download Plus is an optional add-on service available on all our DSL complete and data packages, offering additional bandwidth that can be used after hours in addition to your regular bandwidth.

Download Plus usage will be deducted between 12am – 6am on Home ADSL packages and between 1am - 7am on our Business ADSL packages.

Unused bandwidth expires at the end of the month.  

How do I monitor my Download Plus usage?

You will be able to monitor your Download Plus usage through the DSL Console once it has been activated on your account.

Scheduling Updates and Downloads during Off-Peak hours

Download Plus is best used by scheduling your downloads or updates to complete between 12am - 6am (home packages) and 1am -7am (business packages).

We recommend using a download manager for all your direct download needs.

Orbit Downloader  is a freeware download manager which creates multiple download threads for a single file download, ensuring that your downloads are always running at the best possible speeds. Orbit Downloader comes equipped with a download scheduler, supports torrent files and allows downloading of videos directly from your browser.

FTP Client
CoreFTP is an FTP application which has the functionality to schedule FTP tasks. This is perfect for scheduling website backups or uploading/downloading of website content. You can find a guide on scheduling FTP tasks  here.

Newsreader
Alt.Binz is a newsreader used for downloading and managing newzbin files (.NZB) It has the added functionality of scheduling your NZB downloads.

Where do I add Download Plus?

You can add Download Plus to your ADSL account via your DSL Console or select the Add Download Plus option when purchasing a new package.
