1. What is FreeZone?


This is one of our many value added services. Bandwidth used on FreeZone services will not be deducted from your monthly cap. All interactions between you, the customer, and our FreeZone enabled servers are free!


2. How do I know if usage falls under FreeZone?


Anywhere a FreeZone banner is displayed, this indicates that bandwidth used for this specific services is free! This includes all WAGE Game servers, FTP and content services.





Usage can also be monitored via your DSL Console where your total FreeZone usage will be displayed next to the FreeZone symbol. 






3. What offerings can I expect to see under FreeZone?


FreeZone is gaming orientated; the following game services are available to our customers:


Our FTP content server contains:


  • Game demos
  • Drivers
  • Game downloads
  • Patches
  • Maps
  • Mods
  • Wallpapers
  • Linux distributions
  • Utilities


4. What If I want a File, Patch or Game Server added to FreeZone?


You can post any FreeZone file, or game server requests via our Forums. Alternatively, contact our GamesMaster via email on gamesmaster@wage.co.za. We'd love to hear from you!



5. How do I tell if my ADSL package includes FreeZone?


Look out for the FreeZone symbol on our website. Products that are FreeZone enabled will have the FreeZone symbol e.g. Home ADSL 





6. Can I use FreeZone with Steam?


Steam is available on our platform but due to technical limitations we are unable to fully support this and are therefore not liable for any usage not applied to FreeZone. However, we understand gamers' needs and suggest you follow this Steam and FreeZone set-up guide. This has proven effective by reducing the chances of a "bandwidth leakage"
